Please Tell Me a Story About Park City

Please tell me a story about Park City.

I am collecting stories about Park City that I will incorporate into a permanent art installation in the new addition of the Park City Public Library. The stories will be screenprinted onto panels that will be hung in the new space, and these stories will create a landscape that reflects the shapes of the mountains surrounding the city.

You can share your stories with me in person from April 1-4, or through many different outlets. To tell me a story in person, please email me to make an appointment. For other options, please visit www.pleasetellmeastoryaboutparkcity.blogger.com.

If you have any questions as to how these stories will be used or presented, please email me.

What are these stories for?

Curious about the final piece? What all these stories are for? Here's a brief snippet from the project proposal, and a sketch of what the final outcome may look like!
"In recognition of how we collect information, internalize knowledge, and how this collection, as well as our community, composes our understandings of ourselves and surroundings, I propose to create a multi-media mountain-scape for the Entry Hall to the Library Center. This piece will consist of approximately twenty panels of screenprinted text and 300 hanging recycled metal discs to greet visitors of Park City Library and to encourage investigation and curiosity"

The screen printed text on the panels will be comprised of stories from the residents of Park City who would like to share. You can share your story about Park City by using any of the options listed at the bottom of this blog!
